Free and simple digital logic simulator

Show the fundamentals of computers with Digital Logic Sim. It's a minimalist digital logic simulator where you start with an AND and a NOT doors. This was developed by the developer, Sebastian Lague, as a visualization tool for the video series he made. It's an extremely easy platform that everybody can use - even young, non-technical users. The software is far from full-featured, efficient sims like Logisim, but it has everything required to illustrate simple digital logic.

What is Digital Logic Sim?

Digital Logic Sim is intended for the demonstration of simple circuits. If you're a student, an instructor, or a hobbyist, this is an open platform that you can use. The software plunges you straight into making logic boards so you'll need to be familiar with the gates and circuits before you start using this program. The simulator is seen on a simple, black page that reflects your workstation and is read from left to right.

CREATE, AND, and NOT, are at the bottom of your screen. CREATE lets the machine know that you're trying to make a new circuit. AND and NOT are the logic gates given by the software. They are the building blocks of the digital framework. They can have several inputs, but they can handle just one output. AND gates implies that at least two inputs are needed to generate one out.

The NOT gate requires only one input and one output. You will build more complex circuit boards as you progress; more gates would be added to the program-such as OR, XOR, and ADDER-for you to use in future updates and patches to the sim. It also means that you need to improve your understanding of gates, logic, and truth tables since the software would not explain what they are about.

Start learning the basics of computers

Digital Logic Sim is a nice software that can be used by anybody who wants an open, easy-to-use logic simulator. With it, you can learn more about how machines operate and how this program's commands are obtained with its neat and minimalist interface. Although the software itself does not have a guide, the developer made a video series about it and how it functions so you won't have much difficulty in learning how to use it.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
